A‑VOID / PRIVACY

Local by default.

A‑Void is designed to keep your timelines on your devices unless you deliberately turn on a feature that moves a copy elsewhere.

Who is responsible

A‑Void is operated by Marián Fůsek, IČO 75884038, Kulturní 1759, 756 61 Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Czech Republic.

What A‑Void stores

The app does not require an account. It stores the information you choose to enter into timelines, including names, groups, notes, dates, reminder plans, recurrence settings, custom types, custom groups and whether a timeline has been resolved.

It also stores app preferences such as appearance, notification settings, haptics, sorting and A‑Void Plus feature settings. These are kept on the device.

From A‑Void 1.0.1, the primary local timeline file and its local recovery backup use iOS Data Protection with the Complete protection level. Those two files are unavailable while the device is locked. This does not change the protection applied to manual exports, iCloud copies, widget snapshots or app preferences.

Earlier versions also keep timeline copies in the app’s local preferences as a migration fallback. In 1.0.1, these legacy copies are removed only after the timeline data has been saved and verified in protected file storage. If migration cannot finish, the legacy copies are retained so that the app can try again without discarding them.

No ads or tracking. The current app contains no advertising, analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.

You control the content. A‑Void can contain personal or sensitive information if you enter it—for example information about documents, insurance, subscriptions, medication or appointments. Do not enter information you do not want stored in the locations described below.

Permissions and on-device processing

Calendar Import

A‑Void requests Full Access to calendar events only when you choose Calendar Import. Apple requires this level of permission to let the app read calendar event information and present possible imports.

From version 1.0.1, after you grant access, A‑Void first asks you to choose the calendars it may search, or restores your previously selected calendars. It does not read event data from a calendar until you select it, and it does not create a timeline until you choose and confirm an item. Earlier versions may search all available calendars after permission is granted; choosing which events to import remains a separate step.

You can avoid Calendar Import, stop using it, or revoke calendar access later in iOS Settings.

Document Capture

Document Capture processes document images on your device and does not upload those images to A‑Void or the developer. Only the timeline information you choose to save is added to A‑Void.

When data leaves the device

Optional iCloud Sync

If you have A‑Void Plus and turn on iCloud Sync, timeline, custom type and custom group data are copied to A‑Void’s private iCloud container associated with your Apple Account so your Apple devices can stay aligned. The app does not operate a separate A‑Void account server.

Automatic backups

If you turn on A‑Void Plus Automatic Backup, A‑Void writes rolling JSON copies to local app storage and, when available, iCloud Documents. The app keeps a rolling maximum of seven copies. These copies may contain the same timeline data, notes and dates as the app.

Manual exports

You can export a JSON backup through the iOS share sheet. Once you share or save that file, it is controlled by the destination you choose, such as Files, iCloud Drive, email or another app.

Widgets and notifications

Widgets use a local shared app-group snapshot containing selected timeline names, groups, dates and countdown information. Widgets and notifications may show timeline names, dates, countdowns or reminder messages on a Home Screen or Lock Screen, depending on your settings. If other people may see your device, you can hide previews or sensitive content in iOS notification and Lock Screen settings.

Purchases

A‑Void Plus purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. A‑Void uses Apple’s StoreKit to read product and entitlement status. Payment card details are handled by Apple, not collected by A‑Void.

Website

This website is hosted through GitHub Pages and its delivery infrastructure. When you visit, GitHub Pages and its delivery providers receive technical connection data, including your IP address, required to deliver and secure the site. This website does not embed third-party fonts, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. The website has no A‑Void account or support-ticket form.

Deletion and retention

A‑Void provides an Erase all data action that removes local timelines, groups and reusable types and cancels the app’s scheduled reminder notifications. If iCloud Sync is enabled, the deletion is prepared for synchronization to your other devices.

Manual exports are separate files and remain wherever you saved or shared them. Automatic backup files are separate copies too; they are replaced as the rolling backup set changes and are not the same thing as the live local timeline.

Support email

If you contact us by email, we process your name, email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond, troubleshoot and maintain the service. We do not operate a separate A‑Void support database.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to support requests and maintaining A‑Void (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or the performance of a contract where your message concerns a purchase or subscription. The email service provider processes the message as part of operating the mailbox.

We retain support correspondence for 24 months after the last substantive contact, unless it is necessary to keep it longer to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim or to meet a legal obligation. Email providers may retain copies according to their own policies.

Your choices

You can use A‑Void without enabling iCloud Sync, Automatic Backup or widgets. You can deny notification permission, export your data, erase local data and stop using the app at any time.

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of the personal data we hold about you, and to data portability where it applies. For questions about personal data or to make a request relating to your rights, email email@marianfusek.com. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ), the Czech data-protection authority.

We may update this policy when the app or website changes. The latest version will remain available at this address.
